More About Me:

I was born and raised in San Francisco as a child, and now I reside with my family in Daly City, CA.  Having been educated and ultimately obtaining a job in San Francisco sure did open my eyes to the fantastic food culture we have here.

I have written articles for various media outlets such as CBS SF Local, Pinchit, and SF Station's YUM!.  Organizing social dining experiences and food-related events is also a love of mine.  I enjoy bringing people and food together.  The travel bug loves to bite me.  In fact, in the span of 12 months, I traveled to Southern California, Seattle, New York City, Boston, Portland, Hawaii, and many places in and around Northern California.

On my spare time, I enjoy cooking and baking.  I am also obsessed with Instagram and I can be followed @joanneisafoodie if you want some semi-live action.

About the Blog

I started this blog in 2007 to simply document my edible excursions while I was going to college in San Francisco.  What a world food blogging has introduced me to!

I am currently welcoming any media/press coverage opportunites.
Please contact me for inquiries.

Other Tidbits

- This blog is powered by Blogger.

- All the words here are my own opinion.  Don't take it that seriously.

- I am NOT a food critic.  I simply recap with mostly positive commentary.
I don't go to restaurants just to tear them apart.  I'm not a Yelper. Please.

- All the photos on this blog, unless otherwise noted/watermarked, were taken by me.

- Do NOT take ANY pictures without my written consent.

- As you can imagine since the establishment of this blog in 2007, the photos
have been taken with various cameras.  More recently, my most utilized
equipment are my iPhone 4s and my simple Sony DSC-WX9 point and shoot.

- I don't have the patience for huge DSLR's on a daily basis.  Sorry.

- In the past, the photos were taken with [which might explain the poor quality]:
1) my Nokia camera phone (RIP) 2) Keat's iPhone4 3) my Nikon D3000 DSLR
4) my Canon Powershot (RIP) 5) my Sony T7 Cybershot (RIP) 6) my 2nd Samsung
camera phone (RIP)

- Nowadays, I do minimal photo editing - it is what it is.

- For my photo collages, I used to use Serif PhotoPlus to make collages, watermark
and edit, but now I just use Frame Magic on my iPhone 4s and iPad2.

- For the most part, I blog directly on a PC, but when I do quickies, I use
the iPad Blogger app to post.
