Sometimes 5-Star Restos Are Not What I Need

As 2012 is coming to an end, I'm beginning to see what I really want in life. Call it newfound wisdom. Call it experience.

Maybe I'm just growing up?

Majority of the pictures on my phone are of food, and I was looking for a bomb diggity picture what encapsulated my year that was rich with travel, adventure, and culinary expeditions...I was even drafting a post with a complete rundown of all the things I did in 2012...but this one tops them all.

It's home to me.

Currently I am on the train heading to the airport to send Momma off back home to the Philippines where she will see my Inang. I am so happy for her and so excited for all things she will do there. I'm going to miss my momma and will continue missing my Inang.

At the end of the day, 5-Star Restos are not what I need to be happy. It's family. Food is a bonus and it really doesn't matter what we ate. Eating Jollibee at the table and having talks with my family is all I need.

With that, I wish you all a wonderful new year. May it be filled with love and happiness!
